Welcome to our Istanbul weather and climate titled article. In Istanbul, Mediterranean climate often prevails all year long except winter. This climate shows difference between inner and outer parts of Istanbul. As we know, summer is hot and dry and winter is warm and rainy in mediterranean climate. However, Istanbul’s climate shows difference from exact mediterranean climate because Istanbul is affected by Black Sea, Balkans and Anatolia’s terrestrial climate.
In winter, when cold wave shows it strenght comes from Balkans, it turns into a slightly warm and rainy weather comes from Black Sea and suddenly it also becomes warm and slightly sunny weather of mediterranean climate.
